Welcome to my website.  If you are here and reading this, the odds are pretty good that I just invited you to one of my Private Mansion Concerts and Music Parties in Harrisburg, PA.  These private gatherings combine world class music played by my guitar-playing friends and mentors inside the outstanding acoustics of a wonderful 145-year-old private residence in Harrisburg, PA.  With special help from my wife, Polly, we stage these gatherings about 4 times a year and these special events are closed to the public and exclusively by-invitation-only. No walk-ins allowed. All guests are pre-registered and invited. Only by meeting me, talking to me, or emailing me are you added to my growing invitation list.

Starting in 2015, we were able to host Celtic guitar wizard Robin Bullock and modern fingerstyle guitar/kalimba player Trevor Gordon Hall.  To open these shows, I was joined by my friends Sandy Shalk and Martin Gangl respectively.  I am so pleased that these fellows agreed to get this private concert series off to a great start.

Earlier in 2015 and 2016, we had two Grammy award-winning guitarists Pat Donohue and Ed Gerhard for October and February concerts.  Return visits from Sandy Shalk and Martin Gangl provided wonderful opening sets for our headliners. We were also very proud to host Robin Bullock for a Very Celtic Christmas Concert and Music Party in December.

In July 2016, the funky-fingerstyle-guitarist himself Adam Rafferty rocked the Mansion to a capacity crowd inspired by the opening act of local guitarist/songwriter Kevin Neidig.  In September 2016, Richard Smith played to a full house in our 7th Mansion Concert. Then in November 2016, the uber-talented Al Petteway and Amy White played to another full house in our 8th Mansion Concert.

tell me about your favorite artist -- who knows they might come to the mansion someday.

The Private Mansion Concert series is intended to be a tribute to some of the finest solo steel string players on the planet and almost all of our performers are teachers in their own right, serving as an inspiration to guitarists and songwriters all over the world. It's clear to me that we are doing something right because I have had to hold off hosting some amazing players until the timing is right.

Please stay tuned to our forward schedule.  Please join our mailing list.  But please don't tell too many of your friends about this amazing, intimate, one-of-a-kind "guitar-centric" performance experience as our space is quite limited.

So here you are. And you have read this far.  Please keep reading and learning more about these Private Mansion Concerts and Music Parties.......

About the Concerts
These private gatherings are by-invitation-only, alcohol-free, smoke-free, date-friendly musical experiences staged in a most intimate and acoustically balanced parlor of a 145-year old mansion. With 14 foot ceilings, hardwood floors and horsehair plaster walls, there are no dead spots in the room and every seat is a prime seat to see and hear the artist. In this age of compressed, streamed and diminished recorded music, these private gatherings serve to provide a musical experience unavailable in any venue large or small.  After the show, our artists stay around, sign CD's, answer questions and have the chance to meet and greet the entire audience.  Again something you don't experience in a larger venue.

Please check out our artists, check out the Mansion, and learn more about this concert series.  If you like what you see, please email me to join my invitation list.  With only 65 seats available for any show, being on my email list is the difference between you coming to our shows or missing them.

Thank you.
